Who can drive
The renter and every driver must be at least 25, hold a valid driving licence and be named in the rental agreement. Up to two named drivers are permitted per car. Tell us about the second driver when requesting your rental.
Bring the originals
Bring your original Thai ID or passport and each driver’s original licence. Photos, copies and phone images are not accepted. Check expiry dates before travelling; we may be unable to release the car without the required documents.
Licences issued overseas
Rental document checks and legal permission to drive are separate matters. English text on a licence alone does not establish that it is valid for driving in Thailand. Read our foreign-licence guide and check with the relevant licensing authority before travel.
