Before leaving the handover point

Thailand drives on the left. Adjust your seat, mirrors and seat belt before departure. Ask staff to demonstrate the gear selector, lights, wipers and assistance features. Set navigation while parked, and rest first if you arrive tired after a flight.

Leave space and allow time

Follow posted signs and road conditions. Check for motorcycles alongside you, especially when turning or changing lanes. Leave a generous following distance and do not rush to match an app’s arrival estimate. If you miss a turn, continue to a safe place to change direction.

Rain, darkness and breaks

Slow down and increase spacing in rain. Do not drive through floodwater; flooded and off-road routes are prohibited by the rental agreement. Plan breaks on longer drives and favour daylight while getting used to unfamiliar routes.

When you need your phone

Ask a passenger to help navigate or stop safely before using your phone. Save our number and the return location beforehand so you do not have to search while driving.
